before the legislature adjourned on wednesday, senate bill 5834 passed on the senate floor 33-8, and a bipartisan vote of 62-34 in the house makes it stick.
having joined the seven year battle late in the game, i'm so grateful, and so heartened by the power of advocacy work. cheryl, you are my hero.
first thursday I launched a new series of bicycle-inspired encaustic paintings, but art walk held so much more. bumped into keith "gahdhi jones" haubrich- still jet-lagged and victorious on his way home from a third international freestyle handlebar mustache win in norway. and...had to drag myself away from the pasture that is the greg kucera gallery this month. deborah butterfield took my breath away.
then friday, an eagle mid span, and an osprey on the east side gave me the sign that I can let go the guilt I feel in commuting to design this time... meant to be. could it be the sun that has a girl waking to the magic of being right here right now?
